Popis:	The primary purpose of this report is to examine distance learning (DL) from the perspective of the soldier. A summary of the history of DL describes its applications in the Army and plans for additional uses. Findings from research and comments from surveys are examined to reveal how well soldiers accept DL as an effective teaching method within different types of training courses (e.g., small unit training versus individual professional development). The strengths and weaknesses of DL are discussed, leading to a list of recommendations to help trainers produce effective DL courses.
