In this chapter, we examine some of the studies conducted on the effect of PBL on different areas of language learning. Following this, we share the findings of two studies conducted by the authors on the effect of problem-based learning on the speaking skills in the Iranian English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context and the writing skills in the Malaysian English as a Second Language (ESL) context. We end by discussing areas for further research. |
