The article provides a systematic analysis of the characteristics of the identified advantages and disadvantages of the known types of automatic train driving (ATD) systems from the points of view the modern technology and automatic control theory. It consideres the evolution of automatic train systems for Russian Railways (RZD) represented by the functional sheme of the main types of such systems and characterizing their structure and functions as a closed multi-loop automatic control system. These include: one- and double-loop program systems; a double-loop system type with the calculation of the control action in real time based on the prediction of the final state developed in Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT), and also, the system with the train control calculation program on the basis of the method train performance calculation based on minimum energy consumption of the All-Russian Research Institute of Railway Transport (VNIIZHT). The authors propose the improved classification of such systems taking into account the current state of science and technology. |
