Popis:	Today there is a renewed interest towards biological aspects in oil reservoir systems. This interest not only comes from academia, but also from the petroleum industry. Fields of common interest are ‘Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery’ (MEOR), efforts to lower H2S production and subsequently microbial corrosion (caused by sulfate reducing microorganisms) and the analysis of microorganisms found in oil wells as additional information source for reservoir conditions.
