Popis: 1. (1) Evidence is submitted that a new arsenoso compound (N-(p-arsenoso-benzyl)-glycine amide hydrochloride), if given once shortly after an oral inoculation of 2000 larvae of T. spiralis prevented fatal outcome in 64% of the animals over a 10 week's observation period. 2. (2) The active dose (500 mg/kg per os) was identical with the maximal tolerated dose; a smaller dose of 250 mg/kg caused only delay of death. Longer intervals between inoculation and treatment interfered similarly with the effectiveness of the drug. 3. (3) The arsenoso compound exerted an effect on Trichinella larvae exposed to it in vitro for at least 6 to 24 hours.
