High-Resolution Studies of the Electronic Spectrum of 69GaCl

Popis: The electronic spectrum of the single isotopic 71 GaI molecule was excited using an electrodeless discharge lamp run at 160-180 W microwave power (2450 MHz). The 1-0, 0-0, 0-1, 1-2 bands of the A 3 Π 0 - X 1 Σ + transition lying at 3883.0, 3911.4, 3944.3, and 3948.2 A and the 0-0 band of the B 3 Π 1 - X 1 Σ + transition lying at 3862.6 A have been photographed on a 10.6-m Ebert grating spectrograph at a dispersion of 0.18 A/mm in third order. From the present studies, the rotational constants of the X 1 Σ + , A 3 Π 0 , and B 3 Π 1 states of the 71 GaI molecule are determined for the first time.
