In this paper a compact cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) array with corporate feeding is proposed for X band application. The CDRA is excited by microstrip line feeding. An array of four CDRA is designed with center frequency of 10.2 GHz to obtain higher directive gain. Circular slots have been introduced effectively to achieve large bandwidth over a wide range of frequency. With this arrangement approximately 33.36% of bandwidth and 10.2 dB gain has been achieved for the proposed CDRA array. This designed array antenna is simulated using HFSS simulator. The proposed antenna array is suitable for applications such as satellite communication, Radar & UWB communication. |
