Popis:	Sexual intimacy is a normal, natural and positive aspect of older age. There are a wide range of enablers and barriers for older people to experience fulfilling sexual activity in older age including societal and relationship factors and influence of health status. Health and social care practitioners need to be well versed in the normal effects of ageing on sexual activity and have the skills, knowledge and self-awareness to promote healthy sexual ageing. Sexual health discussions are an essential part of the holistic assessment of health and social needs and should lead to interventions that ensure older people are able to enjoy their rights and live healthy sexual lives.
