Popis: | At this time positron emission tomography (PET) in combination with computed tomography (CT) — PET/CT is the most promising imaging technique for tumor detection in prostate. Areas of metabolic abnormality on the PET imaging here can be perfectly correlated with anatomical localization on the CT images. The efficiency of this modality could be significantly increased using radiopharmaceuticals targeting specific tumor cells. Such immunohistochemical markers as PSMA, PSCA, GRPR, EpCAM and VEGF are considered to be targets for novel diagnostic imaging techniques and treatment of prostate cancer |
