Popis: | A new lactone, C20H28O4, m.p. 180–181°, [α]D–162°, isolated from the culture medium of Trichothecium roseum Link, has been identified as 6β-hydroxyrosenonolactone (1) by its chemical and spectroscopic properties and by its conversion into the diosphenol (6) also obtained from rosenonolactone. Lactone (1) is readily transformed into an isomer, formulated as (12), which has been isolated from the broth in a very minor amount. |
