Popis: | An open-ended control architecture, optimized for ATM switching systems, which is in line with the Siemens/GPT Vision O.N.E. evolutionary concept is described. It uses the inherent large throughput capacity of ATM as an ideal interconnect for all distributed control elements. The control is structured in several distinct hierarchical layers with a common-software application platform separating the hardware implementation from features and services. This concept allows for the same ATM periphery complex to be used as a stand-alone ATM product or as an extension to existing Siemens and GPT switching systems for broadband applications. > |
