Popis:	Diagnostics, tactics of medical and surgical treatment of various diseases of the thyroid gland is a topical issue in patients of older age groups. The peculiarity of this category of patients is high comorbidity, so the volume of surgery should be determined not only by the type and severity of the course of thyroid pathology, but also by the clinical characteristics of concomitant diseases. To date, the issue of choosing the volume of surgery in elderly and senile patients remains debatable.
