Popis: An experimental kinetic study of chemical ionization in shock waves in the oxidation of argondiluted methane, acetylene, and hexane with oxygen is presented. Time-dependent electron concentrations measured using a microwave interferometer, as well as parameters characterizing the electron concentration profiles, are reported. Comparisons are made between the ionization parameters of different hydrocarbons and between the results of this study and data from other works.
