Popis: The rate controlling step for the redistribution of Cs and I is the diffusion in the bulk UO2. The tendencies for redistribution and exhalation of Cs and I from UO2 of steadily operated fuel rods are very small. The linear heat generation rate has to exceed more than 420 W/cm to cause major redistribution of Cs and I. Ramping influences the redistribution and exhalation of Cs and I. The redistribution and exhalation increase with increasing fission gas release.
