Popis: Among the indications for the use of additive manufacturing in polymeric materials in dentistry, the manufacture of denture bases is the most investigated, however, the artificial teeth that are attached to these prosthetic devices are little explored with CAD-CAM technology by the additive manufacturing method, so it is interesting to research the current state of the art in the manufacture of polymeric artificial teeth by this technique that can reduce the number of clinical sessions, allows ease of manufacture and data storage for future treatments. Although polymeric artificial teeth offer advantages over ceramics in terms of chemical bonding to the denture base, reduced clicking sounds during the speech, and increased resistance to fractures, the disadvantages of polymeric artificial teeth are greater wear over time, which may result in loss of vertical occlusal dimension, decreased chewing efficiency, and compromised esthetics. With the advance in the use of CAD-CAM system and the investigation of polymeric teeth obtained by additive manufacturing, this study aims to answer: Do artificial teeth for dental prostheses obtained by additive manufacturing present resistance to wear similar to conventional ones?
