Popis: Microbial deterioration of epoxy resin coatings in cotton mills is a constant problem. Studies were undertaken in two Polish mills to determine the factors governing the severe damage to chemicoresistant coatings such as epoxy resins. A total of28 species of fungi was isolated from the air and coatings in the bleacher and dresser rooms. The differences between the mycoflora isolated from coatings in the mills are discussed. The microbial resistance of epoxy resin coatings in the environment is regarded as unsatisfactory.
