Popis: | Resource requirements were estimated for four Michigan dairy farms with two rations and two waste handling systems. The main variation in energy consumption is associated with natural gas required to manufacture fertilizer and urea feed supplement. For a fixed output level, production costs were approximately constant for the four cases. The main resource interchangeability was between fossil fuel energy and land. |
