Popis: Since 1980, immuno-A-toxins (I-A-Ts) which are conjugates between an antibody and the A-chain of a polypeptide toxin, e.g., diphtheria toxin or ricin, have been described by several laboratories as cytotoxic agents with high specificity for their target cells.1–15 However, there was great variation from high to low potency depending on the antigen-immunotoxin (IT) system used. The advantage of the I-A-Ts is their low non-specific toxicity in-vivo (LD/50 in mice 20mg/kg),16 which will allow their utilization in human patients in the near future.
