Thermal synthesis of silver nanoparticles in carboxymethyl chitin

Popis: The synthesis of silver nanoparticles was carried out by the method of thermochemical reduction of silver ions using 6-О-carboxymethyl chitin as a matrix and stabilizer. Based on the analysis of UV-VIS spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy data, it was possible to confi rm the presence of silver nanoparticles in the system, as well as to determine their size and shape. Using the FTIR spectroscopy, it was shown that the carboxyl groups of 6-O-carboxymethyl chitin are able to interact with positively charged clusters and atoms of the particle surface, ensuring their stabilization.
