The work signifies the direct biosensing of E. coli bacteria using a memristor mode of nano device using ZnO (Zinc Oxide) quantum dots. These ZnO quantum dots are synthesized by aqueous precipitation method. The obtained nanoparticles have been characterized by UV- visible spectroscopy (UV), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).The size and shape confirms the nano structure. Zinc oxide nanoparticles are known for their various applications in bio imaging. E.coli bacteria are conjugated to these nanosamples and finally these bacteria is sensed on dried samples based on memristive property. Varying the concentration of bacteria shows a variation of currents which follows a hysteresis pattern. |
