Popis: One of the methods of studying the features of the interface or boundary between a metal and an electrolyte is the method of the electrocapillary motion of drops of metal in the electrolyte [1]. Its application to melts has provided information on the metal-slag interfaced] and matte-slag interface [3]. In the present work, the method of electrocapillary motion of drops of aluminum in a cryolite-alumina melt has been used in an attempt to elucidate the structural features of their interface.
