Self healing feature incorporated to RTDS for solving reconfiguration network problem

Popis: This paper presents the application of Self Healing feature in automatic reconfiguration process of a power system inserted in a real industrial plant. For implementing Self Healing feature, the electrical network and the entire automation process were modeled in Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS). Supporting the automation process, a new optimization algorithm, Power Summation Reconfiguration Algorithm (PSRA), is proposed whose objective function is minimizing the amount of switching during automatic reconfiguration process. Results obtained by using optimization algorithm developed in this paper were compared to ones from Chu-Beasley Modified Genetic Algorithm (CBMGA). Before implementing algorithm developed in this paper in RTDS simulation environment, a comparison was made between PSRA and CBMGA using Scilab simulation environment. The algorithm developed in this paper, PSRA, requires a simpler heuristic for implementation compared to CBMGA one, besides presenting the same efficiency level.
