Popis: | A new method for assessing decomposition processes was developed for the study of the release of organic matter and metals into overlying water. The plant studied, Zostera noltii Hornemann, was shown to release organic carbon at high rates during the first hours of the experiment, stabilisation being attained on the third day. Metals, Cu, Fe and Zn showed a less obvious behaviour, probably due to various processes occurring simultaneously. |
