A Review Paper on Use of Thermo-Electric Materials for Future Energy Harvesting in Automobile Sector

Popis: Thermo-electric generators (TEGs) have been identified as one of the most promising technologies use for automobile waste heat recovery due to its solid-state nature and its ability to convert thermal energy directly into electricity. Recent studies have shown that nearly 5% of the heat wasted from an automobile exhaust system can be recovered using TEGs and the overall efficiency of the engine can be significantly increased. This paper reviews the applicability of thermoelectric generation systems for waste heat recovery from engine exhaust system of the automobiles.
