Popis: | Results are presented for the Ukrainian laboratory testing of the battery of bioassays designed within the program WaterTox, including Allium cepa, Lactuca sativa, Daphnia magna, Hydra attenuata, Panagrellus redivivus, and Salmonella typhimurium, for toxicity and mutagenicity assessment of given organic and inorganic substances in water samples. Each of the bioassays was characterized with respect to its practical use. Experiments were carried out over the period of 1 year with six series of four blind samples each, for a total of 24 samples analyzed. In the results, test organisms were ranked according to their sensitivity to toxic impact as follows: nematode |
