Popis: This review will investigate descriptions and definitions of self-regulation that involve cognitive, behavioral or emotional components. The authors will consider self-regulation descriptions or definitions that discuss the reflection, selection and adaptation of cognitive, behavioral or emotional strategies to address a contextual problem (Mandich et al., 2015). Studies that include sensory processing as part of the description or definition of self-regulation will also be included to align with occupational therapy practice processes (AOTA 2020 OTPF). Review questions include: 1. How is the concept of self-regulation in children and adolescents described in the context of occupational therapy and education literature? 2. What are the similarities and differences in how self-regulation is understood in occupational therapy and education practices?
