Popis: | Allogeneic marrow transplantation has been used increasingly to treat patients with various hematological diseases. A survey by the International Bone Marrow Transplantation Registry estimated the number of transplants carried out through the year 1987 to be in the order of 20000 [6]. Most of these transplants (80%) have been for therapy of malignant hematological diseases. The current manuscript will review results of and future treatment strategies in marrow transplantation for acute leukemias in Seattle. |
