Popis:	Regenerative and semiregenerative processes turn out to be flexible tools for the study of systems with repair facilities. This is illustrated by modelling two systems: one with hot reserve and one in which defect — periods become critical, if they last too long. Some results on the monotonicity of the second model are given.
