Inverse Linear Quadratic Control for Electric Looper in Hot Strip Finishing Mill

Popis: The control problem of looper and tension system in HSFM (Hot Strip Finishing Mill) is investigated in this paper. ILQ (Inverse Linear Quadratic) is used to design optimal linear quadratic regulator for electric looper. In the ILQ design concept, the optimal feedback control law is designed based on pole assignment and there is no need to solve the traditional Riccati equation. As a result, ILQ provides more freedom for electric looper control. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results.
