Popis: | Reliable and low latency wireless networks gain importance in industrial communication. A promising approach in this context is parallel sequence spread spectrum (PSSS). Its parameter set is very flexible and can thus be adapted to specific application requirements including very low latency. Moreover, first evaluations revealed that PSSS might be robust against fading channels, which is desirable in industrial environments. In order to enhance the understanding of the PSSS concept, its behavior in real industrial channels is investigated in this paper. A PSSS baseband simulation is combined with industrial channel transfer functions, which were extracted from comprehensive channel measurements in factory floors and mechanical workshops. In this paper, we evaluate a PSSS system’ $\mathrm{s}$ performance for good, median and bad LOS and NLOS channels. By this we show that PSSS is suitable for industrial environments even in disadvantageous channels. |
