Popis:	Large numbers of an egg parasite, Telenomus alsophilae Viereck, were recovered from egg masses of the elm spanworm, Ennomos subsignarius (Hubner), over the current outbreak area in the southern Appalachian Mountains. Overall level of parasitism averaged 57%. Accompanying the high incidence of egg parasitism was marked reduction in infested area and intensity of damage.
