Popis: | To realize another step towards the Inter- net of Things, we looked for a suitable mechanism to transport IP packets on ad-hoc wireless personal area networks. Existing solutions are only targeted at point- to-point transport of IPv6 packets via IEEE 802.15.4 but lack routing and power-management capabilities. Starting from RFC4944 we present an IPv6-based WPAN solution which provides routing and power- management capabilities. Our approach deals with the needs of WPANs by providing a exible, fast and ecient label switching technique that integrates into the concept of IPv6, whilst keeping up with the small overhead of 6LowPAN. By using a Modied Routing Header, nodes connect to and communicate with both IPv6 devices on the Internet and other nodes over power-ecient ad-hoc routes that can also provide QoS - all tailored to the small footprint demands of WPANs. |
