Popis:	Novel anion ionophores based on thiouronium derivatives were synthesized, and their application to ion selective electrodes (ISEs) was examined. The electrodes clearly exhibited an anti-Hofmeister selectivity pattern with enhanced selectivity for the iodide anion.
