Popis: | In the present research an effort has been made to synthesize and characterize asbestos-free brake liner with the primary aim to mimic the properties of asbestos fiber by replacing it with carbon nanotube. To impart anti wear and frictional properties, abrasive, lubricants, fillers, binders were included in polymer matrix of epoxy and phenol formaldehyde. The wear and friction analysis of the composite brake liner showed better properties compared to the conventional asbestos brake liner. XRD, TGA and SEM analysis were used to characterize the brake liner. |
