ANALYSIS OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOURS OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TEACHERS

Popis: In this study, it was aimed to analyse the transformational leadership behaviours of school principals from the perspective of teachers. The survey model, which is among the quantitative research approaches and has a widespread use, was preferred as a model in the study. The population of the study consists of teachers actively working in various branches in the 2022-2023 academic year. The research sample consists of 500 teachers determined by the "Proportional Cluster Sampling" method among the teachers in the universe. "Transformational Leadership Scale" was used as a data collection tool in the study. The data collected in the study were analysed using parametric tests such as Independent Samples t-Test and ANOVA together with descriptive statistical methods due to the fact that they fulfilled the normal distribution condition. In the study, it was determined that teachers' perceptions of innovation management were at a medium level. In addition, it was determined that teachers' perceptions of innovation management differed significantly according to gender and educational status variables. It was determined that the significant difference determined according to the gender variable was in favour of women and the significant difference determined according to the educational status variable was in favour of teachers with bachelor's degree. It was determined that there was a significant difference between teachers with high professional seniority and teachers who were in the beginning years of the teaching profession in terms of professional seniority.
