Popis:	This paper examines the developmental crisis for women at midlife of caring for an aging parent. It is based upon the authors' clinical experiences in outpatient settings. Developmental theory is used to explicate the clinical process. Parent caring is seen as an opportunity for grieving parental shortcomings and achieving a better adaptation.
