Popis:	The synthesis of cyclopent[hi]acephenanthrylene (CPAP), a dicyclopenta-fused derivative of phenanthrene, is described. The 4,5-dihydro and 4,5,6,7-tetrahydro derivatives of CPAP were also prepared. These novel compounds are characterized by means of 1H-NMR, UV-VIS and mass spectrometry.
