Popis: | We consider a fourth-order equation implying abradyonic and a tachyonic mode of propagation for ascalar field. The electromagnetic field is introducedvia the gauge covariant derivative. We show that the interacting fourth-order equation isequivalent to a second-order Klein-Gordon equation alsominimally coupled, with the tachyon living in closedloops connected only to photon lines. The equivalence shows that the fourth-order theory isrenormalizable and unitary. |
