Analysis of the para-ferroelectric phase transition of SbSI through photoacoustic spectroscopy

Popis: Measurements of the absorption coefficient of semiconductive materials are terminated on the high photon energy side by the low transmission level in even the thinnest available crystals. The aim of this work is to overcome this intrinsic limitation by performing for the first time a photoacoustic spectroscopy determination of the absorption coefficient of SbSI up to photon energies well above the band-gap region. Preliminary experimental results are presented and compared with the existing electronic band structure theoretical calculations.
