| Popis: | Affects on male fertility are associated with many sexually transmitted diseases. Genital tract infections play a major role in this context. The evidence for an impact on fertility differs for the pathogens; however early treatment may be very important. This requires fast and precise clinical diagnostics. Further, sexually transmitted infections may have major relevance in andrologic diagnostics because of the risk of transmission to the mother or fetus. Particularly for the increasingly relevant HIV and hepatitis infections, current guidelines are available for use in diagnostics and assisted reproduction techniques. |
