Popis: | We study an uplink multi-user massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system employing Semi-Orthogonal Multiple-Access (SOMA) scheme. Two achievable sum-rates for the SOMA scheme are presented by use of Minimum Mean-Square Error (MMSE) channel estimation and Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC) for data detection with two detection strategies; Single-User Detection (SUD) and Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC). Through numerical results, performance of the SOMA scheme is compared with that of the conventional Time-Division Duplex (TDD) massive MIMO. To maximize the achievable sum-rates optimal number of served users and optimal power allocations are discussed. Finally, spectral and energy efficiencies of SOMA scheme with SUD and SIC are compared with those of TDD to highlight the performance improvements attainable by the SOMA scheme. |
