Diffuse reflectance spectra of ten rare earths

Popis:	The diffuse reflectance spectra of certain trivalent rare earth chlorides and tungstates are reported. These spectra were obtained in the 375–1200 mμ wavelength region for powdered materials approximately 2–13 μ in diameter. The correlation of these spectra with reported absorption data indicates the feasibility of using this technique for the qualitative identification of Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Er, Ho, Dy, Tm and Yb.
