Popis: The Model-Factory-In-A-Box is a simulated learning tool for industry, which has innovated in adult learning. It is a fully portable solution training factory and has proven to be a powerful way to build new skills, ranging from lean manufacturing to digital technologies, in an immersive manufacturing environment. Participants embark on a transformational journey as they implement improvements in the model factory - a highly engaging and effective learning experience. This results in improved recall from participants, improved learning outcomes as participants learn how and why to apply new tools and techniques not just what they are, and it moves organizations to action as it shows participants that improvement is possible if individuals work as a team and apply a common language of techniques. Its fully portable nature makes it easier to use to reach large numbers of people in an organization and the realism of the simulation allows it to be used across multiple functions e.g. production, maintenance, with multiple levels of management. This gives the organization a ‘shared learning narrative’ that allows it to move to action more easily. This case-study summarizes the context, design, learnings and benefits of the Model-Factory-In-A-Box.
