Popis:	In this paper the author tries to analyze the relations among myths as values, process of socialization and the project of demythologization. The first part deals with the anthropological notion of myth and its cultural functions, whilst the second underlines the ideological character of the project of demythologization. The complexity of process of socialization, which includes both formal and informal social structures, represents a serious obstacle to the project of demythologization.
