Popis: In this proposed work a basic unit is developed. A single unit can generate two positive and a zero level at the output. As this basic unit can develop positive levels, for negative levels, H-bridge is in addition connected to it. This is advance cascaded H-bridge multi-level inverter. With this it is possible to generate all output levels i.e. positive, zero and negative level. Also in this paper a comparison is made between conventional multi-level inverter and developed multilevel inverter based on number of switches required. From which it observed that how the number of IGBT i.e. switching component required are reduced. So the driver circuit required also reduced this leads to significant saving in cost, installation space. It is easy to control, reliable and quality of output waveform increased, THD is reduced, dv/dt stress is also reduced. The results of 5-level, seven-level and fifteen level single phase cascaded inverters are verified in MATLAB simulation and are described in this paper.
