Popis: | Ionophore antibiotic monensin ( 1 ) was converted to 25-carboxylmonensin ( 3 ), which has two carboxyl groups at both ends of the molecule. Ca 2+ ion transport activity of 25-carboxylmonensin ( 3 ) was evaluated by the CHCl 3 liquid membrane method, and the activity was 3.1 times the value of the calcium ionophore, lasalocid A. |
