Popis: | Macromolecular amides were synthesized from copolymers of maleic anhydride with styrene or vinyl acetate and amines: ethylamine, propylamine, and sulfanilamide. As shown by pH-metry and 1H NMR, amidation of the copolymers in solution results in the formation of hemiamide and cyclic imide units for aliphatic amides, whereas in the reaction with sulfanilamide about 20 mol % of maleic anhydride units remain unchanged. Complete conversion of maleic anhydride units to hemiamide units and the formation of maleimide units are reached in the mechanochemical reaction of the copolymer with sulfanilamide. |
