Popis: | Coatings such as TiN may be used to modify the surface properties of CoCrMo alloy surgical implants, but their performance may be influenced by the structure of substrate. In the present research solution treatment and age hardening tempers designed to produce a more homogeneous substrate microstructure were not beneficial to the mechanical properties of the alloy. However, control of the coating process can provide a TiN film of high integrity which does not compromise the static or dynamic properties of the component. |
