Field experiments conducted over the past few years have demonstrated the efficiency of microwave remote sensing methods in localizing underwater gas spurts on the sea surface. This problem is closely related to the tasks of monitoring the state of underwater gas pipes and localizing natural underwater gas jets. This paper discusses the experimental data obtained and suggests, based on this analysis, an approach to the important problem of developing a model that would give an adequate description of electromagnetic properties of the sea surface perturbed by a flow of gas bubbles. |
