Popis: | The mineral composition of swedes, turnips, and kale is reported. Kale contained little manganese, had very wide calcium: phosphorus ratios, and copper concentrations were probably inadequate for cattle. Swede and turnip leaves had wide calcium: phosphorus ratios, their bulbs contained little manganese, but whole-plant values were adequate for ruminants. Comparable mixed pasture contained adequate amounts of all minerals for ruminants. |
